Any wiring experts for 04 F350?
When doing the "high idle" mod on My 04 f350, I found the following wires,
Orange/White Green/white yellow/white all with tape on ends. What would these be used for? Then, I'm assuming that the other 4: Red Blue Black White Are pass through wires. Used for other add ons. Right? Which I would have to route through the fuse box? None of the wires have power to them. Any help or direction to info would be appreciated. I have a 2004 F350 4x4 CC SRW LB KR Thanks in advance |

https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas/non-html/Q108.pdf I used upfitter sw 4 to power it on/off red,bl,blk,wh are just pass thru wires (nothin on 'em) to get from JunctionBox to under hood. You really have to remove the 4 bolts that hold the JB (fuse box) and maybe a couple quick plugs, this will allow you to pull box away and really see the wire labels. That link above is a good read. Sorry I didn't notice your sig reads 2004. I hope this still works, or at least gets you closer.

Yeah if you have a 2003 or 2004 you need an AIC, the high idle mod wont work

Actually, the high idle mod did work. Had found a forum that had pictures of the 2 wires. One was just above foot throttle, the other behind fuse box with all the other pass through wires. Idles right up to near 1200 rpms. Step on brake and it stops, I just have to remember to turn it off with the switch as well.

i have an 04 and just ran the two wires straight to a switch and it worked fine. there was a wire under the dash behind the light switch with tape. if i remember right it was blue/white. the other wire was close to the obd2 port and i think it was blue/yellow. they both had tape on the ends. if you do a search for high idle mod on here there are some good threads with some great links and how to's. thats what i did and i found on with pics that made it really easy to do
