Picked up my OASIS report....holly &#$*(%#

I really know how to pick a winner. I've seen some nasty ones but this one is close to taking the cake. The reason I went and got this is I'm having issues when the temp. drops below 45 degrees or so that the truck flat out will not start. Cranks over great and stumbles a few times but will never stay running.

Any idea what I should check/replace? Did the FICM voltage check, shows 45-48 volts after 2 seconds of turning the key. 20 volts prior.


If this isn't a selling point for getting a EGR delete I'm not sure what is....read on.

OASIS report:

08/2004 AC only blows out defrost. Solution: Vac. motor replaced.

04/2005 Engine idles rough. Solution: Sensor replacement.

04/2005 Transmission reverse planet replacement.

07/2005 Idles rough. Solution: Reflash PCM, TCM, FICM

07/2005 Water light on. Solution: manifold terminals corroded RR manifold

08/2005 Axle leaking. Solution: pinion seal replaced.

10/2005 Trans. leaking Solution: replaced transmission cooler.

10/2005 Noise in front end. Solution: sway bar bushings replaced

10/2005 Oil leak. Soultion: lower/upper valve cover gasket replaced

02/2006 check field service Solution: replaced ep sensor and module recal.

06/2006 Loosing coolant. Solution:EGR cooler replacement, EGR valve and degas bottle cap replaced.

09/2006 turbo sticking. Solution: R&I turbo, clean veins, replace turbo actuator.

09/2007 engine overheating and blowing white smoke. Solution: EGR valve replaced, EGR cooler replaced. RR turbo and intake.

09/2007 engine locked. Solution: R&I glow plugs replaced oil cooler and EGR retest.

11/2007 loosing coolant. Solution: Head bolts streteched. replaced head gaskets and bolts. replaced injector #1.

09/2008 Coolant loss. Solution: EGR cooler leak. test oil cooler. replaced cap and head gaskets, flush cooling system.

09/2008 loss of power. Solution: found turbo stuck and ring damage in turbo. replaced turbo. already has updated drain back.

01/2009 engine sluggish and no power when cold. Solution: latest recal. calibration power balance. Replaced EGR valve.

Wow, that is quite lengthy... I guess the good news is that every time there was an issue, the previous owner took it in and the warranty took care of everything. I have known a few mechanics thta only want to buy vehicles with over 60k on them as most things that go wrong already have. Maybe you are in the clear now??? Do you have any warranty left?

its not always the truck but the techs throwing parts at it.had my truck in 5 times for the same thing,blowing white smoke accelerating from stop lights.changed egr valve,egr cooler &oil cooler,head gaskets & studs,rad. cap, sensors,finally it was turbo seals that were leaking but now there are 5 different issues on the oasis report,but the issue is finally fixed.

well Look at it this way maybe your good for awhile except for little issues
