Need Help

hey everyone hope your having happy holidays. So heres my problem i dont tow that much but when i helped my neighbor tow his bobcat i put it in tow/ haul mode and it seems like it didnt want to shift and then it would shift and go to second gear or third and the light for the tow/haul button would start flashing so I stopped turned the truck off restarted it and kept the tow haul button off and it shifted fine. what would cause the truck to shift or not work properly, but when not in tow mode shifts fine please any help would be great. pretty stripped of cash after the holidays.

its a 2wd 2004 6.0 F350 srw

When your tow/haul light is flashing it means that there is a failure code. You would need to have it scanned to find out whats happening and then go from there. May be something in the programming specifically for the tow/haul Also when you are in tow/haul the shift points are moved higher into the rpm range but should still shift normal.
