what motor oil is everyone running( bought the truck 3000 miles ago so time for a change). also what oil filters ive heard napa golds are very good. thanks for any input.

Amsoil. use only motorcraft filter

use only motorcraft filters, oil choice is yours, but Motorcraft oil is good, and cheap at wally.

Only Motorcraft Filters.....Oil is variable, Valvoline Premium blue 5-40 synthetic is good. Heard mixed opinions on Amsoil, but actually tempted to try it. And Motorcraft is pretty good also.....Good Luck.... Basically depends on personal preferance and availability.....Steve

For sure Motorcraft oil filter (and fuel filters every 15K).
As for the oil - your option from many fine oils out there:
Amsoil
Mobil 1
Motorcraft
Valvoline
Rotella

My choice is Valvoline Premium Blue 15W-40.
The one bit of advice I would offer is that if you use synthetic, don't waste your money be doing changes at 5K intervals

Motorcraft for all.

I put 31,000 miles on the truck with Rotella 15w40 and got horrible fuel economy, 5k with Motorcraft and a world of difference already.

Also.. I just switched from Power Supply fuel additive to Motorcraft and no more smoking issues at start-up.
