Only Motorcraft Filters.....Oil is variable, Valvoline Premium blue 5-40 synthetic is good. Heard mixed opinions on Amsoil, but actually tempted to try it. And Motorcraft is pretty good also.....Good Luck.... Basically depends on personal preferance and availability.....Steve

Are we really going to do ANOTHER oil and filter thread? I've only been on here 3 months and have seen plenty of them
I know, I know....I don't have to read this thread if I don't want to! I can read another.

Anyway....i have been using MC 15W40, with MC filter in my 6.0
Have a great New Years!!

For sure Motorcraft oil filter (and fuel filters every 15K).
As for the oil - your option from many fine oils out there:
Amsoil
Mobil 1
Motorcraft
Valvoline
Rotella

My choice is Valvoline Premium Blue 15W-40.
The one bit of advice I would offer is that if you use synthetic, don't waste your money be doing changes at 5K intervals

Motorcraft for all.

I put 31,000 miles on the truck with Rotella 15w40 and got horrible fuel economy, 5k with Motorcraft and a world of difference already.

Also.. I just switched from Power Supply fuel additive to Motorcraft and no more smoking issues at start-up.
