downside or negatives to deleting egr?

getting lots of good info, brain is getting a little sore from all the reading!

is there any negatives or downsides to doing a full delete of the egr system or is it all good?

im sure it will void my warrenty on my 07 (i have 32000km left) and am thinking of purchasing a extended one before this expires...

thanks for all the help

If you can get away with emissions, do it. Keeps your intake clean, turbo spools faster, lowers combustion chamber temps, lowers the chance of introducing coolant into your engine.

I would tend to agree with that.... But I am curious. Why do we read on here of people having luck on getting the dealer to put EGR delete kit in while doing head gasket work under warranty? Kind of strange to me.
If I (dealer) can get busted for removing with EGR system, I'm not going to do it. Dealer has too much to lose. Are they that crazy?
makes me wonder
