i have a buddy that is going to sell me an sct but hes not positive that it was taken off his old truck can it be unlocked if it wasnt? he wants a ridiculously low amount of money for it so i wanna get my hands on it asap

ya it can be unlocked but it may cost some money i think. I'm not 100 percent sure but i'm 90 percent sure

ya i think you gotta send it to sct and it cost 150 but im not positive

SCT can wipe it clean via remote PC...right over the phone...just call them and tell them whats up. Shouldn't be any charge. If you have an SF3, you can also download the 5 pre-programmed tunes and use them. Otherwise, once you get it it slicked and the latest firmware loaded...then contact a tune writer and get some custom tunes.
