Coolant temp gauge install
I just bought the electric short sweep autometer C2 water temp gauge from Raul series number 7137 and i was wondering where the best place would be to install the sender. I have heard of a port that i can just screw the sender in to and i have also heard of people tapping into somewhere else. Any help on this?

There is a port on the driver side. You can get to it from under your truck.
You will lose some coolant, Ask me how I know LOL. Install Pictures |

Besides using a port on the block, you can probaby drill and tap your intake manifold right next to where the EGR sits. I wish I thought about this two days ago when my intake was sitting on my bench in the garage. Ill have to look again, but I think its do-able while its on the truck.
Also, you will be closer to the oil cooler. If you are monitoring oil temp as well, I think this spot would be ideal. |
