Installed gauges, now got questions...
1. What boost do you normally see while cruising at highway speeds unloaded. I am used to my Grand National which does not carry boost all the time like a diesel...
2. What are your EGT's like after driving, then letting it cool off for 10 min or so? My buddies 7.3 cools off to 240's, mine cools to 340's. 3. When your tranny is at normal op temp (needle at the top of the thermometer on gauge) what are you reading on your "real" gauge? Just want to make sure everything is good to go... |

Cruising 65mph I see anywhere from 4-12 lbs boost depending on headwind and what tune I'm running. EGTs drop to about 300 after idling 10 mins. I don't have a trans gauge, but it won't cool off real fast since they have an internal thermostat.

Normal cruising boost 4-5psi @ 60mph, EGTs normal cruising 550-600, cool down quick to steady 330, normal tranny op temp 150 cool days to 160-165 hot days.
