newest pcm update...
Just got back from the Ford dealership to ask some questions about a few things to do with the engine and they were curious if I had any PCM updates, which I had not. So my truck was built in September of 2004 and had no updates since its original programming. Next thing I know I'm sitting in the waiting area while my truck gets updated. I was pretty skeptical as far as what it would do and how the truck would perform. First thing I noticed when I got in the truck was the lack of noise the injectors made. Kind of scared me at first but it started and I was told it is supposed to be quiet. Got on the road and noticed that the truck seemed to have some more pep to it, especially when the turbo spooled up, as compared to before. I have no clue if the update effects the trans but that too seemed to shift a little firmer, but that could have just been me thinking it. I'll know more of how it performs after work tomarrow and post up on here. So far so good though.

No idea. I am trying to find out what all was involved with the latest update. I swear when I left the dealer there was no buzzing noise but when I just went to the garage to check something I started it and the buzzing was back prior to starting.

Ill check again....didnt notice the noise after I pulled the key. I only let it run for a few seconds though. I was in the garage and didn't feel like choking myself out.

My truck is a 03 and I just got mine updated from ford but don't notice any noise after shut down
