Hey Guys,
I've been watching this site for some time now and doing some research on suspension systems. I've seen the different types of suspensions that everyone is running in their signatures. I was just wondering what everyone's take was on their suspensions or if they wished they did a different suspension or different height.
I've been looking at the 8in BDS lift for my 06 F250. I like the four link conversion they use. I'm looking to run 37s or 39s. I'd go with a 6in, but its only another $150 for the 8in. I use the truck for work, but i don't normally have to carry materials around (meaning I'm not too concerned with the bed height). I am partial to BDS because Ive had two different size BDS lifts on my jeep and love the spring rates they use and ride quality of the lifts. Does anyone run a BDS system on their truck?
I drive the truck every day. I hate the stock suspension because of the stiff front springs. Every pothole i hit, i get a little bump steer, and its not too easy to avoid potholes in new england. I had the truck aligned twice by different, very reputable shops and it is as straight as an arrow. I'm looking to put in a better riding suspension but dont want to spend $10k or more for air ride.
...I should also mention that my truck sits very level. There is no rake to the truck and it has been like that since i got it at the dealership. It has the optional 10,000 GVRW springs. Camper/Tow special, i guess. I didn't order it. It was just one of the trucks on the lot.
Any suggestions and comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
