Boosted 4X4 Launch Questions

Ok guys, so i have a stock F250. I am curious about how to launch and race it. Can someone give me some instructions? And do i leave it in 4X4 Hi all the way down the strip?

My buddy has a 95 Mercury sedan with a Ford V8 in it. Do you think I could beat him?

And soon I will be getting an SCT with custom tunes, do I need to race it any different? Thanks guys

4x4 high, foot on the brake, mash the skinny pedal until you reach a boost level you are ok with and take your foot off the brake while simulataneuosly pushing the skinny one thru the floor board! And yes you leave it in 4x4 high all the way because it is not coming out until you get to the end and let off. Letting off anywhere before the end is not good!

Yeah I'm hoping to beat him cuz he always talks smack about my "work" truck! And when I get the SCT I'm planning on leaving black spots all over his car

You might as well not switch out of four after it shifts cause it stays locked in until you take the load off the drivetrain

I plan on my mods in this order. Tell me what ya think

2.5" Leveling Kit- $300
20" KMC Rockstars and 305/55/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers- $2500
Painted Door Handles and Mirrors- $325
ARP Studs- $985
4" Diamond Eye Exhaust with cat delete- $269
SCT with Xtreme Race by Eric- $509
'05 Conversion- $700

And maybe an EGR Block Off PLate, but I'm not sure how efficient that is... but then again, I have an '03 so the EGR system is a tad less restrictive
