Experts needed!
I'm new here and I am fairly new to diesels and at a crossroads. I have a stock 06 6.0, which has never let me down yet but I'm itchin to open her up a little. I was thinking on doing the zoodad, and cat/muffler deletes (DIY mod), or MBRP 4"TB (but $$ and xmas is coming so this might have to wait).
What I need help with is how will this affect my towing capabilities? I pull a 12.5K Toy Hauler and the power/torque is there when I need it as is. But I do love the sound w/o the cat and muffler. Any pros or cons? Thanks in advance. |

I'm no expert, but those mods certainly aren't going to hurt you're towing capability. If anything it'll lower your EGT's and let you push harder when towing. Throw a SCT with a tow tune into the mix and you won't know what to do with all you're new found power.
