Lucas Oil Add.
i have allways use lucas oil add. on all of my motors "all Gas" and have been able to get 250 000 on a 94 f150 and my father has used it for a very long time and swears by it. is it safe/recommended to use it in these new diesle motors..

no. a gas engine or heck just about any other motor it may work well in. on a psd they use a heui injector. basically the oip is pressured to a minimum of 500psi to fire a injector and can get above 4000psi. yes 4000psi not a typo. additives will make the oil foam. do a search on lucas oil additive and foaming and you will probably not use it even on a gas engine

Do not use lucas oil additive in a powerstroke diesel. Hell it even says that right on the lucas bottle

my buddy uses lucas oil in his built 97...there is so mucj blow-by its crazy...

Just perform regular oil changes and you will be fine without any additives. There are some things you can do like add a Oil By-pass system, switch to 5w-40 Full Synthetic...but I wouldn't go with any additives. As far as Lucas fuel additives, my 6.0 hated it...it does like Standayne Performance additive...Cetane booster and a little lubricity. I'm getting ready to try FPPF Lubricity formula.
