03 turbo

I installed an 03 turbo that I purchased, cleaned and wanted to see how it worked in my truck. It whistles like crazy, great boost/power, quick spool, but it doesn't whistle at idle. Is it because I still have my cat in? I do have my muffler deleted. Oh this turbo will be for sale. I have a brand new one coming but I was bored. I'll make a video when I delete my cat.

Not sure yet. I'm going to sell it with a new pedestal too. It has like 30k after reman and it's been perfectly cleaned. I just installed it to see how it was so I know it works. I'm just wondering about the cat delete if it makes a big difference on whistle.

Yes, delete the cat and it will be louder.

I don't have an '03 turbo, but even with my '06 charger the cat delete made a huge difference in the whistle.

Yeah, take the cat off. Give ya $50 for the turbo including shipping AND you install it! lol let me know

Ok cat goes bye-bye tomorrow. I hate cats anyway, always been a dog guy.

Also I installed the turbo and put it on stock tuning because I'm going to sell it and didn't want to push it too hard, I was seeing around 28-29psi on stock tuning. I think my 06 turbo hits 26-27. It seems to boost a couple pounds higher little than my 06. Which I've heard on here.
