turbo oil feed line ?
I was browsing ebay for "needed" parts for my '03 6.0 Powerstroke while it is still in the shop for head gaskets, and I came up on an auction for a solid line turbo oil feed line. Something about the oem rubber line replacement to a solid tube?
$160 bucks or something like that. Anyone heard of the metal tube verses the rubber tube? I dont have my truck here so I cant even confirm that there IS a rubber hose - but any opinions on this? My truck has 200,000 miles on her (factory gaskets & studs lasted 200,000 miles!!!) |

on my 03 it is a metal line already. it mounts at the top with 2 bolts on a flange. there is, however, an updated oil drain tube that is not crimped at the bends. is that what they are talking about??
EDIT** wait a minute. on second thought, without the truck right in front of me, i am thinking it is a stainless braided line that has a crimped end with the flange on it. dammit, cant remember

Is this what you are talking about? Part # 3C3Z-9T516-A
Ford Diesel 6.0 IMPROVED TURBO OIL FEED TUBE 03-07:eBay Motors (item 190309397950 end time Dec-17-09 19:03:46 PST) If I understand the auction correctly, seller is stating that the early style had a braided flex tube for the oil supply line that I guess is prone to collapsing. |

as far as i know working o these things all day , the metal line was used on the earlier models , they started using them in of than switched back to the rubber steel braided line . but you cold inthchange them if you wanted . you just have to make sure you have that fitting style .
