Questions, And More Questions!
Just a Couple More Questions about this 6.0 Block...I'm still trying to learn the fundamentals of it...So Far, it looks like an EGR Delete and some Head Studs are DEFINATELY on my Agenda...BUT, I've got a couple other questions...So, Lemme Fire 'em Off!
1. I've been reading a LOT about the SCT Tuner...Problem is I can't Find one...SO, WHERE should I Be looking? 2. Boost Pressure - Stock With out any Mods, WHERE do you Tap For The Boost Pressure, And What SHOULD it be At? 3. Exhaust...Yup, a bit of a dilema...Does the Exhaust from these Come down to a Y pipe, into the Muffler, Then Back to a single, Or is it set up Different? What Size is The Stock Exhaust System? I'll be Stackin' This one too...Looking at 6" Aussie's And I want to know if I need to Buy just one "Y" or I Can Get away with using 2 90's... 4. Air Intake System's I Ran the S&B Stage 3 on my Ram, LOVED IT...But it seems there are a TON more Options for the Fords...SO, Which one is better, And Why? Just For The Fun - Here's My Old Ram...Last time I Hit the Dyno with it, I was right around 460 Horse @ The rear Wheels...Mind too, I re-did the Transmission, Valve Body and So forth...Kinda Had to LOL! I DEFINATELY DO NOT Trust The Dodge Transmissions! Stack - 5" Miter, Single ![]() I Took off This Stack, After I Smushed it into the Box Pulling a Horse Trailer LAst Summer...I Like The Black Bull Hauler Though...Used it As my Main Exhaust for a while...Then Got the 5" Miter...It too was a 5"

1. Sct Tuner not sure where your looking for one, but any of the supporting vendors have it, Innovative, Spartan, etc.
2. Mine is tied into the intake manifold on the passenger side, theres a rubber hose there and I put a T fitting in it. 3. Exhaust what exactly are you trying to ask there ? Exhaust a 6.0 - the headers join into a y pipe that enters the turbo, from the turbo its a (stock) is a 3 inch down pipe. From the turbo back is straight all the way back unless you did duals, aftermarket down pipes are 3.5 to 4 inch. If your gonna do stacks the exhaust is gonna be straight till the cab ends, from there they use a flex pipe or elbow that goes up into the bed. In the bed is where the Y pipe is for the stack kit. 4. As for aftermarket intake system its a waste honestly, the stock system can handle up to 500hp, so if you dont plan on going that high dont waste your money, the stock filter does its job and overall is better. |
