lift ???

how high do i have to start changing things in the front, as far as the pitman arm and stuff?

right now i have 2" shackles installed in the front, and plann on adding some 2.5" springs soon, thatll give me 4.5 in the front, will i be safe without anything else besides shocks?

I have a 4.5 DR hanger kit and needed a drop pitman arm and a trac bar drop bracket.
I think you will need the same or you will have some steering issues (if it even bolts up at all)

I think that anything over 3 inches and you need a drop pitman arm, if not then everything will not bolt up.

You should get a dropped pitman arm and a trac bar drop down bracket. The steering issues you will face will most certainly be bump steer, which is not fun believe me. You could also get a crossover steering and not have to get a dropped pitman arm but that is way more expensive.
