Foot pounds to inch pounds

My torque wrench does not go to inch pounds. Can I just convert it by dividing?

I need 96 inch pounds, if I convert it, it would be 8 foot pounds, am I right?

Cool. I don't know anything about that industry. I just got back from SW Texas where my company is doing some Electrical Area Classification Studies for a natural gas production company. You know the stuff ya'll throw away!
