Observations from Friday's tow.
Since, dad doesn't have a big pickup, I got to do some towing for him. Borrow 32ft PJ triple axle trailer, and go pickup 2000 ft of guard rail, 200+ miles away.
Observations 200-210 seems to normal temps on flat ground pyro running 900 abouts 225* engine fan kicks in 227* cruise control kicks out 229* engine derates itself 231* Highest temp I saw 1200* is highest sustained temp never got any hotter For those wondering, I didn't get to scale it, but susposedly 13,900 lbs on the trailer plus trailer at 7000 and my superduty at about 8,000 eqals 28,900 lbs GVW (+/- 1000 lbs for error). Sorry no pics, unless you want a pic of the pile of guardrail and the empty trailer. ![]() |

when its hot, the level is lower since its under pressure. and when it cools down, it can go back up
