so you would recommend changing oil and filter every 7500. its not like it would be that much more of an expense i just thought synthetic would last that long.

perhaps i'll so both at 7500, like you say we paid good money for the motor and dont want to f it up.

I do dump the EaBp filter and thouroughly clean the top and refill it with oil as well before adding new oil to the system. I also use the Fumoto drain valve which helps (less mess) and a have a silver dollar sized magnet near the drain plug (since I no longer have the old drain plug magnet).
I'm running pretty much the same as you. Here's where I differ though. I'm running Valvoline 5w40 synthetic and at 5K I'm doing an oil analysis. At 10K I do another analysis and if it come back good I'll only change the full flow filter. I'll go to 15K and here I'll change everything no matter what and that includes both full flow filter, Amsoil EaBp filter, and oil. I'm running the Fumoto valve and magnet on both my oil and tranny pan too.

also amsoil has a full flow filter that replaces the oem filter and according to tamsiol you can go just as long on that filter as you can on the bypass filter idk tho

Hmm, well I went to there site and all I could find was this one and it didn't say anything about going as far as the bypass filter

well for standart oil I dont go past 6k. With syn, after a few oil changes to get all the standard out of the system so that you have full syn in the eng, you can go to like 7-9k. but going that much farther it would be best to get a bypass filter.

I go by the OEM interval for fuel filters even using the AD 100 setup.

As with the oil changes I just did enough reading to make up my mind on the interval.

As far as brand goes I read enough to conclude that there was not ONE particular oil that really stood out as the best oil to run in the 6.0L motor. They all shear down to 30wt in like 3k miles from what I recall. Schaffer's was better at resisting the shear of the 6.0L. I chose to do my own research and found what works best for my motor. It runs great with Mobil 1 or Valvoline Extreme, it works okay with Rot-T syn and Schaffer's, and HATES cold weather with Amzoil. Not one brand or weight improved my MPGs to a reasonable measure over the life of the 7500 miles. I was able to tell what makes the motor run better by sound and performance. Of course I have NO proof other than my personal senses. When you drive 100 miles a day you tend to notice a lot about the way the truck responds and sounds that it makes when driving.

Do some reading on the Amzoil site. I tried that filter with their oil without much improvement. IIRC, The 20k claim comes when using only their oil and filter together. I had to ask myself what is so special that I can't use another oil with that filter? It shouldn't matter at all don't you think?
