Oil Pan Gasket

Has anyone had to change theirs? I here you have to pull the motor to change it is that true? I think I hit something on the hwy and it does have a small dent in it. after it happend i checked and no leak. but now i have a very small one. any other ideas of a fix?

I've always heard you have to pull the motor to get the pan off. I don't have any personal experience though. here's a bump
