REAR END HELP...

So i caved in and went to the dealership. They informed me that the slipping feeling is not comming from my transmission but it is comming from my Rear differential. I was wondering if anyone has had similar problems with the limited slip. I have done a service with the special fluid and it didnt go away. Im thinking i cooked the clutch pack. Has anyone rebuilt there rear end ? Or is it easier to just swap it out with a locker. I need the cheapest way out. HELP..

Mine had a slipping or bumping feeling when i would take off and stop. Turned out it was the drive shaft where the Carrier bearing is. I took it to ford and they put some special grease where the two half-shafts come together and it fixed it. May not be your problem but i know i was thinking the Torq converter was messed up or there was a problem with the rear diff.

BTW, are you from Rockport Texas?
