well, where i buy it you have you buy 3 gallons at a time so i end up buying 6 gallons one time which cost like 136 bucks right around there, and maybe what happens is i only see when customers use it after they don't change their oil for a long time, loosens the sludge, and ends up junk and in the garage me putting an engine in. seems like i've had a few customers say they have ran sea foam just before comimg in.

Sea foam is bad for the 6.0 beacause our ol is also used for firingthe injectors at very high psi that sea foam was not designed for i would change ur oil right away

My plan was to only run it with it for a short time in hopes of cleaning any crud out of the injecters. Fresh oil going in this weekend. I don't drive the truck during the week so it won't get much run time till the change. Just trying to decide which oil to switch it over to.......Leaning towards the mobile 1 diesel oil........

Additives in the oil are a bad idea since it takes 500psi to fire the injectors and they see 4000+ psi oil pressure. When you add a additive and change the oil you never know it is will cause the oil to foam and/or reduce thickness of the oil. Another thing to think about is adding a product that is designed to loosen up gunk then pushing that gunk thru the injectors and or the filter pluging one or both would be possible. If I were to use it in the oil it would be right before a oil change. And remember you will not get all of that stuff out with just one oil change. Only dilute it.

DO NOT USE SEA FOAM IN YOUR OIL!!!!!!!!

If you truck was an old mechanically injected diesel or a common rail yeah use it.

But for an HEUI system like a 7.3 or 6.0 its very bad news and can cause injector and HPOP damage. Apparently the mechanics you spoke to are not familiar with HEUI. Now if you want to use seafoam either dump it in your fuel tank or dump it in your upper fuel filter housing when you change fuel filters.

Change your oil and get the seafoam out of your oil system or you WILL have damage

I have a friend with an 03 6.0. He had a lazy injector and a company had a product to help. They told him if it was lazy and this didnt work after 500 miles, they would buy him an injector. Sure as all heck after a few hundered it cleared up. I will get the name of the product.

I've used Lucas products in the fuel and it seemed to help some.

Galaxy,
I'm looking forward to what you find.

I don't see how a fuel additive alone can correct an injecter issue mechanically. I can see it cleaning the tip and correcting the spray pattern but how can it help the internal mechanical workings??

There is no additive that can help an HEUI injector on the oil side
