Not Good

I have a 2006 F350 and I was driving it all day when the Turn signals stopped working all together, as well as the hazards. No clicking, buzzing, nothing on the dash nothing coming from the lights just well NOTHING, all the other functions work on the multi switch, except the turn signals and the hazards. I tore apart the colum and looked for pinched wires and took the multi swich out and blew off the dust and the connections. still nothing. I checked all the fuses that would relate to the signals even though there is not one that is just for the signals and still nothing. I dont want to go spend the money on a multi switch if it could be some thing else.

check your brake lights if only the third brake light works and the 2 side ones are inop then you need to check your power in and out of the turn signal switch.

Ok I looked in the wiring diagram and I got some wires for you to test. There is 2 connectors on the back of the multi- function switch. The book labels them 202a and 202b. 202a has 7 wires and 202b has 10 wires. The wires that feed the multi-fuction switch are in connector 202a. There is a light green wire that is the feed from the brake lamp switch. Should have power when the pedal is depressed. Right next to that there should be a light blue wire. If you check this one with a test light it should flash. This is one of the feeds in from the flasher. The other feed from the flasher is the white and red wire right next to the other 2 wires. It should react the same way. If you have the proper power on those three wires then you need to check the output side which is on the other connector. The right side outputs are orange with light blue and white with light blue. The left side outputs are light green with orange and light green with white. If all of the inputs are ok and the outputs are missing then it is the multi-function switch. If you have the brake feed but nothing from the flasher then you probably need a flasher. Check fuse 27 in the under dash fuse box. It is the flasher feed. Let me know what you find. If you need to locate the flasher let me know cause I know from experience that they are a pain to find when they don't click.
