New Tow Rig

Hey guys,
I just added a new tow rig to the stable. It's a 2006 F-350 4x4 King Ranch 6.0 with 81K on the ticker. I took it in to our local dealership to have it checked out and it came back pretty good. They did find an oil leak...should be fixed tomorrow. I have a couple of questions about this new truck:
1. The Speedometer intermittently starts out at 20ish and drives up from there (obviously inaccurate)...sometimes it starts out higher, like 50, and drives up as I accelerate, any ideas...really just an annoyance.
2. How do you guys like the Tow Command? Does it work well? I have a 12K Fifth Wheel that I tow with the 99 (sexy lookin green truck in the pictures) and a P3 brake controller.

Thanks!

nate

First of all nice rig (s)!!! I'm pleased with how well tow command works. I pull a 37' fiver that comes in around 13k-14k (grossing 21-22k) dependent upon how much the women folk take. Tow Command does a great job with it.

Tow command is the cats ***, it works so much better than the old style controllers, no herky jerky trailer brake activation and its super easy to set. I pull a 30' gooseneck every day that is constantly loaded to 13 or 14k.

Well, it looks like tow command might be good then...I'll have to wait until next week to try it out. What gain are yall running with your setups?

So, the Ford Dealer says the speedometer is the cluster. Apparently they hooked up the computer and got the speedo to do a full sweep, but said that it is probably going bad. The darn thing worked the whole way home, so we'll see. They want $285 plus 2 hrs of labor to change it out. Apparently it has to be programmed to the truck, so it's not something that I can order and change out myself...bummer

I usually start with 5.0 and have never needed to run over 8.0
