Less hissing noise???
2006 F350 with 6.0 powerstroke. I was just wondering if there was anything you could do to the exhaust, turbo, or engine to decrease the "hissing" sound that comes out of the tailpipe from the turbo at idle and increase the actual sound of the engine firing. The truck currently has a 4" exhaust with cat delete and magnaflow muffler. I would like to hear the engine at idle and not just the turbo. Thanks.

nothing you can do, that's just how its gonna sound. Other than putting the cat back on that will stop the "Hissing" sound.
Mine isnt that bad. I was surprised when i installed my 4" diamondeye exhaust kit. My buddy's 07 with just a Silverline cat back and cat delete pipe is annoyingly loud as far as the turbo whistle noise. |
