Truck died going down hi-way, would not restart
2005 Ford F250, 140,000 miles. Today my son was coming home from school and said the truck just died. He coasted to the side of the road and called me. I tried to start the truck when i arrived and all it does is turn over. It kind of seems like it would like to start but does not. Truck was not hot and i have had zero problems with it. Oil was changed 2000 miles ago and is full on the dip stick. Is there a trouble start guide somewhere for a 6.0 2005 ford diesel?
Truck does have a remote start on it, and a slight oil leak has developed on the passenger side toward the rear of the engine block a week or so ago and i can not figure out where it is leaking from. Not sure if related just providing any info i can. Batteries are strong and only 1 year old, This is the first problem i have ever had with this truck Thanks |

my guess is the STC Fitting.. Ive heard once it fails..goodnight, not a huge deal..i think it was about 6 bucks for the part, but a real bear to get to.. that also could have been your leak. started as a leak, then completely failed.. not 100% sure but its a place to start..
