Thumbs up Fuel Pressure Regulator Tips

My FPR o-ring started leaking on my truck a few days ago, man was the smell inside my cab BAD.

Ford sells the o-ring or a kit. My parts guy suggested I buy the kit. Yeah, it was a little pricey but well worth it in the end. Therefore the reason for my post.

The plate is pretty difficult to get to without removing the radiator hose and the intake tube, I chose to not remove these cause I'm hardheaded.

The kit comes with the FPR housing and o-ring, a spring, a little brass bullet shaped thingy and some other o-rings.

I replaced everything that came in the kit, it's universal I guess, I had parts leftover.

If anyone is experiencing poor performance, sluggish throttle response, I strongly suggest replacing this on your truck. The new spring was almost a 1/4" longer than the old one. My truck only has 76K miles.

Not only did I stop the leak but I have a truck that runs like it did the day I bought it, just thought I'd share...........Good Luck.

Ford Part # 3C3Z-9T517-AE It lists for $66.45 from the dealer
