6.0 Head Gaskets

Hey everyone, I just bought a 2006 e350 6.0 this week. After reading the forums about the head bolts and gaskets, i'm kind of nervous to put a programmer on this thing. The build date of the van was feb 2006. I read somewhere they did a commonization to all jan 2006 and later vehicles. Just want to here from you guys, if you think it is safe. I just want to add a programmer, and possibly get rid of the cat for now. Thanks for the help.

Welcome to the ORG. I think guys are having problems with all the years of the 6.0 as far as head gaskets go. I'm not sure what tunes and aftermarket parts are available for a van. One of the 6.0 guys should be able to help you out more, i am more into the 7.3s. Good luck man.
