Have been seriously looking at an 05 250 4x4 w/a 6.0 motor, the truck looks and drives like it has been well taken care of for 70K miles, price is OK only concern is the 6.0, my old ford is a 7.3 close to 400K and no serious issuse, I am told not to expect anywhere close to that and even stay away from a 6.0L would appreciate any input fore I chunck out 24K, Thanks a bunch DC

I have an 04 6.0 with about 70k on it. I put the last 40k on it and have had zero issues. The egr cooler was about to fail but it was caught before it became an issue. Now I can't seem to find it anymore I must have forgotten what the egr cooler looks like.

Seriously though there are a lot of good 6.0's out there.

i have a 6.0 and love only thing i would trade for is a 6.4 but that is only cause they are getting sick nasty power way to easy. but 6.0's do have their problems but there are fixes to prevent them. i'm not sure about longevity but there are a decent amount of 6.0's on here that are over 200k and running like or better than new.

I wouldn't be afraid of the 6.0. I would just be sure to check it over and look for leaks or signs of abuse. You also should see if you can get an OASIS report done on it to see if it has had any warranty work done on it. Also Welcome to the Org
