the dealer would probably not even notice the different unless they took it out and knew what they were looking at.
i wouldnt think so. and its a factory charger |

its a factory turbo, only thing i would think is if something happend after the swap they would just replace it with another 06 turbo and not an 03

If you already had the 03 in there then they would have to put another 03 in.......either that or get you a new pedistal on top of the new turbo.

Yes it will void your warranty.

I wouldn't worry about it........ they won't notice

his truck is an 06 he said. why would he have an 03 turbo in there?

I meant if he swapped it and needed warranty work done after.

if a tech is worth 2 chits, he is gonna knows it an 03 turbo when he cranks it up, because more then likely you will have a turbo back exhaust system, therefore it will be whistling like crazy. So if you take it in there for warranty issues with the turbo and the turbo goes bad, they are going to replace the turbo with an 06 turbo, the part numbers that they get for each truck is generated by the truck vin number, which tell the year built, etc.etc
This turbo should not void the warranty as its a OEM turbo. |

Your right, shouldn't void your warranty, but it does. Not the part number as originally equipped on both the turbo and pedestal, not to mention the emissions warranty violation due to the fact it is a turbo from an older model. Personnaly I would put on whatever turbo makes you happy, but if your warranty is really important to you skip it.
