help after egr delete a few problems

a friend of mine just installed a defusser egr delete on an 05 f-250 6.0 and now he is complaining that he is loosing boost and says there is a build up of soot on this alternator. what yall guys think could be going on thanks in advance

Tell him to look for leaks in the delete, it sounds like he didnt get everything sealed up properly...

I just looked at that kit and I cant figure out how you would get soot all the way up there......unless he is still getting exhaust at the egr valve maybe?
