I've heard Diesel tech in riverside is good. John Wood automotive in holtville is legit.

Orange County Diesel Shop

Located in Mission Viejo. Bud the head diesel tech used to work for Tuttle Click in Irvine but opened his own shop. He is a heck of a nice guy and knows his stuff.
