lets see your cb radio setups

i wanna do a cb radio in my truck, i had one in my 94 f150 and i loved it, i want to make it as clean as possible, no drilling in the ceiling of the cab or anything, maybe even hide it under the seat or something, also i want to do a very clean antenna setup, no whips or magnets, i was thinking one of those hood antennas that mounts opposite of the radio antenna.

anybody have pics of their setups? it doesnt have to be like how i want mine, just show em off!

i dont hve pics yet but i have mine stuffed in between the console and the driver seat then ran all my wires under my carpet it really clean

my radio is mounted much like post 2 but attached to the dash using the existing 'trash bag holder' (that little hook thing under the cupholder) screws. I just redrilled the CB bracket to match.

i did the antenna mount much like this:

that flimsy piece of sheetmetal needs strong reinforcement. I attached a stainless plate to beef it up as well as a vertical support as seen in the pics.

I went with a 4.5' skipshooter to get just that little bit higher. It all seems to work well and it sometimes surpises me with receive distance.

eventually, id' like to build a wood console for the radio/gauges/etc...

PS: stay away from that firering cable. get some real coax and a 90* adapter if doing the cowl mount.

I am leaning towards buying the f650 dash piece and putting it where the Upfitters would go : thumb:

Mine is bolted under where the upfitters would go, on the downward part of the dash, I'll try and get a picture.

Mine is also mounted to my trash hook on the dash. The only thing I don;t care for is I have to shut the cup holder to adjust it. But its not that bad. I mounted my antenna on the passenger side of my toolbox in the bed
