Well I bought the valvoline, was only 10.99 a gallon

Which valvoline? Regular or is it a diesel specific? I was always told to run rotella because of the additives in it that are not in other oils. Zinc maybe? I know on the turbo buicks we use rotella for diesels for the first few oil changes with a new motor to break in the cam and lifters safely.

It's diesel specific, the Valvoline premium blue 15w40. Actually on the label it says specific use for the Cummins. Like I said earlier, their extreme blue 5w40 was going for 17.99 a gallon, which is a good deal, just a little pricier for me right now. I've been using Rotella since day one, just figured I try something new, and since it was on sale couldn't pass it up.
