hey guys,
just bought a 04 F250 yesterday with 57,000 mikes yesterday. i havee been doin alot of research on what problems they have and general maintinence. im readin i should buy a egr delete kit. where can i get one and will it cause me to throw codes? also what oil should i use? i hear rotella is the best for diesels. what other small aftermarket things should i look into? i am staying away from tuners and programmers. however all i plan to do is get a exhaust system and intake. with two gauges. any other suggestions? anything is appreciated. oh ya great site

First Coast Diesel has the best delete kit out there but it will throw a code without some custom tunes. I wouldn't be hesitant to get a tuner, with custom tunes they are very safe. I wouldn't waste your money on a intake, you don't really need it.

this is my first nice truck and i have heard way to many horror stories however i am ok if there are some "safe" tunes that will not put my reliability in danger.

i just got done changing the oil and it wasnt to bad. 59 bucks for 16 quarts and a filter. instead of rotella i used the mobil diesel blend. it was a dollar cheaper and was buy 1 gallon get one free so i lucked out. getting the windows tinted tommorow so im pretty happy bout that. im lookin in to gauges right now i think im gonna get a 2 pod pillar. prob gonna get a boost gauge and a egt gauge. where can i find a egt gauge? i found a monitor but i want a gauge.
