Yeah, it's going to have the same feature like the 06+ Duramax/Allison combo. Put the selector in the "M" position and there is probably a +/- button on the shifter that will allow you to control what gear.

The select shift is cool in a small car. But I don't see a need in a pickup. I mean, if you are descending a hill and want to stay in low, pull the shifter down to one. Oh well, what ever. I still want a 2011!!!!

That probably means they are going to scrap the fully manual trans.....just like chev
|

its a great feature... and the manual mode is mainly for locking it in gear when towing and when offroading so the transmissions doesnt keep searching like they have a habit of doing... it will prolong the life of it ... as I said its a great feature

ya. the company i worked at had a 2006 gmc 3500 with a 8.1 liter that had the M and the +/- on the shifter.
