Going Rate

Hey what it everyone spending on stud install?? And is this just for labor or does this include new premium gold coolant and fresh oil??

Ive got a local shop that will help me but never done studs and doesn't know a price. I don't want to get over charged or rip him off. I would do it myself but I don't have the tools needed.

Thanks all

Back on top.

Forgot to add I take it an install would include all throw away parts (gaskets o-rings).

I'm curious about the price as well. I just called Diesel Tech in Riverside, CA and they told me 3500 which includes head studs. That doesn't include delete kit or anything like that, although they said the labor wouldn't be any extra charge. 3500 seems high, but where else am I suppose to take it to make sure they do the job right. I have a Ford Warranty but I'm afraid they won't do the job properly, like getting the heads resurfaced and have them magnafluxed. Can anyone give me some other prices to expect for this job done by a professional tech? I live in El Cajon, CA.

$500-1000?? Who lifts a cab for that price let alone install studs, gets the heads machined and installed? I was just told $3,500 by a couple big techs in town. I'm from California, but 1k seems unbelievable...

I just had mine done at Trucks Unlimited in winston salem n.c and it was $2300. That included ARP headstuds, new oil cooler, reflash, all fluids and an egr delete.

Damn so I'm just from southern california so that adds 1k to the price I guess. I've called three techs and it all sounds like no matter what, a job well done is 3k+.
