Oil leak again.
I've had the rear main seal changed twice already and now the dealership I goto has been having trucks returning after the same fix. They went further into one and have determined its further than that. I spoke to the service manager and he mentioned the midplate. Have any of you techs run into this? Is this the same as the bedplate? Maybe I didint hear him clearly. Aguy in parts I know also said something about the cradle. It's my understanding I will have the third truck they perform this on. Should I have any concerns? Can one of you knowlegable techs out there help me out with some info?
Thanks in advance. |

what they are refering to is the bed plate leaking and yes that is not that uncommon , very extensive job , make sure you ask them to replace front and rear cover gaskets also with this repair, they will also have to replace rear seal again with this repair
