Oil changes

The manuel says to change it at 7500 miles... is everyone letting theirs go that long or are you changeing it earlier.

Thanks Pete

if its a lease then i would go with every 3 years on an oil change. if its a finance and you own it then go every 3000 miles .

Dang!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a new 6.0 owner and went with the manual at 7500 for the last three changes. I guess that will change now. Looks like every 4000 is the consensus. Thanks guys for the help. Hope she forgives me..

ive talked to diesel techs about ford recomending oil changes at 7500 miles and they said they would do it every 5000 miles.instead of 7500. but to tell you the truth ive always changed mine at 3000.im pretty maticulous about fluid changes. i dont like to wait for the oil to get dirty before i change it . this way ill get alot of good years out of my engines.

oil changes

I do mine every 3000 and it is always black at 3000, so even though people have said 4000 to 5000, I don't like to go that long. beepbeepbeepbeeped oil change is freekin expensive though! I guess it's cheaper than a new deisel motor.
