egr delete question???

Why is it necessary to maintian the plumbing for the egr cooler when deleting the egr cooler? E.G. why not block off the flow of coolant at the in and out ports or am I missing something? It just seems better to not have a small coolant line doing nothing in there

Its because the coolant flows thru the oil cooler then into the intake manifold then into the motor.

It really isn't necessary as long as the coolant flow out of the oil cooler is returned to the system say via the coolant bottle.
