One word NO. Dont even mess with the setting. Edge is a problem child on a 6.0. Sell it and get an SCT.

i second that. not tranny tuning equals a tranny with issues

ya sct! go sct
But I have the edge for now.... You should have it at level 3. I get the best mileage with that, and level 2 for tow. If you drive on the aggressive side level 1 or 2 will be better. Level 4 or 5 if you can have a light foot. Have the trans slip protection on, hard shifting on all shifts, torque lock on, trans learn periodic on, 100% shift de-fuel. For the low boost adjustment have level 1,2,3, (4 if you want) on level 1 on the low boost adjustment. 1 is the lowest setting. The low boost adjustment adds more fuel before the turbo has spooled up. You will create allot of smoke if you have them on a higher setting cuz of all the unburnt fuel cuz the turbo has not fully pressurized. This low boost adjustment is to make the eng more responsive. But it’s a waist of fuel and will clog your egr system and your turbo. So I suggest only having this adjustment on 4 and or 5 cuz when I put it on level 4 or 5 its time for fun and is only used for short term driving, but thats me. Hope this helps |

sell it. it tore my tranny to pieces i ran it for a year. pulled it, bought an sct and it fixed me right up. sct runs great

Someone should have worned you! There is nothing but a bunch of Edge and Bully Dog haters on here.
That being said are you after mileage or just some good mileage with power? If you can stay out of the throttle the higher the setting the better the milage. The biggest killer of mileage is speed and heavy foot on take-off. |

If it is the platinum model you should be alright if you don't run it on level 4 or 5. The manual states that levels 4 and 5 are for modified trucks, but most people don't realize that. A lot of people that have owned the NON-platinum models have had trans issues, but not to many horror stories with the platinum model and if you are smart about driving your habits.
You should run your shift settings on firm and de-fuel at 0% since the truck de-fuels stock. Hope this helps! |

ok mileage wise mine got 20 (light footed) on lvl1. the only way mine would smoke was after i purchased the lvl 6 hot unlock code(veryyyy good investment) it got around 16-18 driving and for some reason 22+ on interstate
haha. but i only ran lvl 6, 3 sometimes when i was just crusin, and 2 to tow
