Ford Warranty Info

What can a guy do to the exhaust system without voiding factory warrnty? What will be voided...just the parts changed or all? In relation to my 06' PSD.

They can't void your warranty just because you have an exhaust system on that truck.. If you want less hassle if you ever have to go to the dealer for any service, just get a cat-back system but a lot of guys here run complete turbo-back kits trouble free.

Which system, cat-back or turbo back, is more effective @ lowering EGT's?

dealer answer

My dealer told me cat back only on my 06' 34Kmiles
just saw a post where they left the OEM hardware and removed the muffler ONLY.
I'm gonna do this ASAP. Gotta here that whistle,, and turbo back w/ a 3.5" downpipe is your best and safest option to lower max EGT"s

If you still want to comply with the dealer or laws you could get a high flow cat, but why spend the money. If you don't have inspections in your state, then go turbo-back, it's not gonna hurt...it's not a 6.4. It offers the best flow for egt reduction.
