Do automatic versions 6.0 Powerstrokes all use 5R100
Do all automatic versions of the truck use the 5spd 5r!00 transmission? I was looking at some 2003 6.0 trucks..some of the cheaper stripped models and they list with a 4spd automatic. Is this correct? Did they use a cheaper 4spd in the work trucks? Thanks

I thought they all had the 5r100 but I am not sure someone will come along that does

2003 was a dual design year engine and tranny wise. 2003 was the last year of the 7.3 and also the beginning of the 6.0. i had a september of 03' 7.3 and i now have a january of 03' 6.0. the 7.3 had a 4r100 tranny and the 6.0 has a 5r110. both are automatics. the 5r110 is based of of the 4 speed auto with the extra gear being on the take off.
