FICM

Hey guys,

Wanted to know if anyone has any suggestions on what to do. I have the Banks Six-Gun Tuner w/ PDA in my 06 and this morning after I started it up, it pulled a OBD trouble code. the code was "P0611-FICM Fuel Injector Control Module Performance Internal FICM Error." I talked to the Banks tech support and they told me the six gun was working fine with what I was telling him. Any idea on what could be wrong and what should I look for if that is going out? Thanks for your help.

Umm Banks doesnt know what they are talking about then. If your FICM has an Error you need to get it fix. That controls your injectors etc etc if it fails your gonna kill your injectors and have rough idles and other possible issues can arise.

thanks guys. I cleared the trouble code off this morning and it hasn't come back on. I'm still going to look for a new one. My local dealership said that it would be covered under my warranty since I only have 70,000 miles and they have one in stock. do you guys think it is better to just have them install it. I see that a lot of guys are buying one and sending it off to get custom programmed by Innovative. They probably are having to pay for them out of their pocket I guess and is the tuning that much better.
