03 Boost Pressure

I hooked my boost grade up to the line that goes to the map sensor and dont think its working rite. It takes forever to boost up and even then the highest I can get it is 20 on the level and if I hit a hill 25. Im going to hook it up to the intake next and try it. If that dont help think I need to get my turbo cleaned or think somethings wrong?
