EGR coolers location?

new here...just bought a 05 f-350 DRW lariat 4x4. when i got it i didnt seem to be blowing black smoke but about 2 weeks later i noticed it was ROLLING black smoke like you wouldnt belive. took it to the dealer and they said the EGR cooler was causing it so it was replaced. just wonderin if anyone could tell me the location of it

under intake manifold pasenger side must be on top of the motor to see it

the EGR cooler is the square long tube running down the right side of the intake:

do you think you could maybe get a picture of it in the truck itself? and do bad EGR coolers normally cause black smoke to pour out?

highly doubt it, in most cases black smoke would be the veins in the turbo sticking..

If it was white smoke, i would say EGr cooler..

thanks adam really helped alot. i dont anything about diesels as this is my first one but i love it. and another question: whats the torque on these with the DRW?
