turndown exhaust tips
hey guys, 2 weeks ago, my 06 got hit in a parking lot by a car just behind the exhaust pipe, well the adjuster came yesterday and wrote the estimate and gave me a blemish allowance or some crap for 50 bucks (on top of the total estimate) because she said it "looked" like the tip was scuffed a bit, which its not really but hey 50 bucks is 50 bucks. so ive always wanted to try a turndown tip but never wanted to spend the money for one, well i think im going to take this opportunity to try one and was wanting to see some pics of them on some pickups and see how well you guys that have them like them. its either a 5in turndown or a 6 in miter cut tip, the one i have now is a 5 in miter cut.

I have always liked the mitre cut, I have a 7" on my truck, I think the turndown tips never seem to look right the truck.

i agree i really like the miter cuts but im worried the 4 in to 6in tip will look...well stupid. its seems my silverline 4 in exhaust hangs a bit low to begin with. i just dont want it to look dumb, i was thinkin a turndown would be neat to get a little extra noise with it resonating off of them ground? i have a friend with a dodge that has a 5 in turndown on his 02 dodge cummins and it sounds freakin schweet compared to others. im open to suggestion
ETA: i would miss the fact of not being able so smoke the hell out of nice cars and rice burners sitting beside me at stop lights lol i get kind of a laugh out of that, plus the crazy exhaust noise that noone can seem to figure out lol |
