6.0 Head gaskets
I have a 2006 F 350 sw crew cab with edge programer. Just turned over 100k miles. Aproximately 3oo miles prior to 100k I was pulling my fifth wheel through the western part of NY and the truck started to overheat. You guessed it...blown head gasket. The truck still ran well on the flats yet would heat up on the grades. Anyway, I am having the dealer replace the head gaskets and I am supplying the ARP studs. My questions are:
Is there any other repairs I need to consider?
What other problems may surface if I continue to use the programer and occasionally pull the fifth wheel? (I only use normal, tow and economy modes in the programer)
Should I sell the truck and get into the 6.4 with poor fuel milage?
I love my 06 yet, dont want to have issues in the next 100k.
