I change my rear diff oil every 25k miles. My truck is used for heavy hauling of our 16K# 5er and reliability is paramount (I don't want to find myself stranded in the middle of the Everglades). Amsoil oil Severe Gear costs me $13 a quart so worth the coins IMO.
In my opinion, Fords definition of "lifetime" is very different from ours. Their "lifetime" means that, in almost all instances, it will make it past their warranty period.
Looks like I'll be changing it. Will replace pinion seal as it it leaking while I'm at it this spring as soon as the driveway is melted probably late April early May.
Hah hah. Typo. Mines an 06. I did add some RevX to the rear dif just to help. I added Archoil to the front dif cause its used less than the rear.
